This Man Can Grow Trees in 90 Days – Here’s How You Can Do it Too!

Source: https://www.thebetterindia.com/135343/how-to-grow-trees-in-90-days/

The forests that were once the norm in India have gradually given way to scores of concrete structures, due to constant development. However, thanks to the initiatives of various citizens who are passionate about saving the environment, reforestation has found its place on the agenda.

For RS Arjunan, tree plantation isn’t just about nurturing a sapling; it is about using resources effectively. He is practising a tradition of planting which he claims was used in ancient times as well. What makes his method special? He says it will lead to a brand new tree in just 90 days!

Arjunan uses the cuttings from different species of trees and plants them in the soil. Using proper measures and techniques, he cultivates the branch, until it starts sprouting roots and leaves, becoming a fully fledged tree.

"After my son passed away, my neighbour suggested that I take up tree planting using this method. It seemed like a good idea, so I decided to take it up,”

He says in a conversation with The Better India.

Arjunan believes that this method can help reforest all of Tamil Nadu.

With this technique to create your own tree in 90 days, by following these three easy steps!

Find a healthy tree
He doesn’t specify the kind of trees he uses, saying that almost any tree can be used for this technique. However, for the best results, use trees that are native to the land, and are easy to grow in the climatic conditions of the area.
The branches that are just over one-year-old work best, as they are easy to cut as well.
Chop off the Branch
Once a healthy branch has been identified, you must chop it off. Depending on its thickness you can use either pruning shears or another cutting device. The branch must be sturdy, to keep other animals from grazing on it.
Plant the branch, and water!
Initially, Arjunan recommends planting the branch in tightly packed soil. He usually uses a burlap sack for the same. The sack should be kept in a place that doesn’t have too much sun or too much shade. For the first 70 days, it is advised not to use any fertiliser. Just one litre of water every day is enough. By the 28th day, he says the branch will start sprouting leaves, and the roots will begin to form. This is when you know you are on the right track. After 70 days, the leaves and roots will be strong enough to transfer the tree to a location of your choice. With continuous care and daily watering, by the 90th day, you will have a fully grown tree, according to Arjunan.

“This method is efficient, because it uses fewer resources, and results in the growth of trees in a lesser amount of time. Since branches are being used, there is no question of pests or overgrazing,”

says Arjunan.

This is a tree, I planted as per Method of Arjunan... If Got successful - I shall plant more.....

Cellphones and Rainforests....

Topher white shares his views, How can a garbaged or wasted cell phone can help saving thousands of acres of rainforests.

Rainforests are been illegally logged down by lumberjacks in large amounts. This can be saved by mere cell phone.

The sounds of the rainforest include the chirps of birds, the buzz of cicadas, and the banter of gibbons. However, in the background is the almost-always present sound of a chainsaw, from illegal loggers.

A cell phone has lot many sensors. It can be programmed to recognize the sounds chainsaws and lumber machines. These sounds when activated or heard by the programmed cell phone sends signals directly to forest rangers via cloud technology and the cutting down can be stopped immediately. In order to prove and test the technology.

Topher white tried out his devices in forests of Indonesia:

On the very next day of his test, the devices captured sounds of chainsaws and the logging was halted immediately. The partners and rangers reported, they never returned.

So if some of the companies and people, along with governments, initialize the task of using the technology developed by Topher White. Millions of hectares of forests can be saved and all harmful effects of deforestation can be terminated permanently.

Rainforests are life of over 50 million people. In addition, home to half of animal and plant species.

Indian Man Declares Himself As King Of An Unclaimed Strip Of Land Near Egypt and a Own Kingdom (800 sq miles) -Yes it’s his Land now !

Hell, it's a dream of most of us that we could claim free land as in older times the one who grow crops on a unclaimed land is the owner of that land !

However, majority of us have accepted the fact that this dream is most likely to remain unfulfilled.

Here is how he did it : The strip of land that Suyash has declared himself to be the king of is in reality an unclaimed area i.e. it belongs to no country. The area is called Bir Tawil and is on the South of Egypt's border and the North of Sudan's border

Now, the problem arises because Egypt follows the 1899 border set by the British administration at the time of its colonization however, Sudan follows the 1902 border as its official border. Henceforth, neither country claims the smaller Bir Tawil Triangle as it would mean losing control of the larger Hala’ib Triangle.

His Facebook post reads :

“I traveled 319 KM (to and fro) in far desert with no roads to claim this unclaimed land of Bir Tawil. It was an epic journey starting from Abu Simbel at 4 am. I took help from a local driver Mustafa for the car and most part of driving. When I told him about the plan first he thought I am crazy but then he agreed (yeah I paid him a lot). I and Suyog spent 2 nights planning a highly optimised route for my travel where we can take the car.”

How he claimed the land to be his own :

It was a dangerous journey for him as he explains later ,Now if you are wondering ,he actually went old school,

“Following the early civilization ethics and rule, if you want to claim a land then you need to grow crops on it. I have added a seed and poured some water on it today. It is mine”

Here are some exciting stats about KoD

Life is either an incredible adventure or it is nothing at all. If you are not doing something epic, you’re gonna end up in a yet another grave.
I am the king! (Please?)
This is no joke, I own a country now! Time to write an email to UN."
