#Project Suspense !

#1 - Franklin- Part 1

On a strange evening, it was around 6, the birds were moving to their nests, the sun was getting ready to hit the earth, the horizon seemed orange and pink resembling flowers of Japanese blossoms…
I was busy watching the scene created by almighty, on a stool, along the frame of the balcony. On the other side of my home, used to be small hut, where in 5 people lived, the hut was one of a kind.

At morning when I used to pass by, the setting of the furniture was all good, there were two windows, one had a broken glass, and other one had cracks, to which laid a sewing machine, and beside of that there used to be a small wooden cupboard, where they used keep all their incoming projects. The setting was descent and delightful.

The machine was used all day; I could see the elder most of the family working on it till late nights...

He was Franklin, an old, wrecked, hardworking and frown man, he was the elder most. They were poor, and in there lived 5, wife and 3 kids who had reached their adolescence.

By the night, everything just changed, the cupboard was invisible, the chairs and the sewing machine just got aside, and there was vast amount of space for every member to sit and have their dinner, carpets were laid, there was bit of silence but with cheer, they used to be gather and happy. This was a routine for everyday.

One fine day, a strange and unexpected thing happened…….

#Multinational Company

WE ALL KNOW WHAT ARE MNC's AND SOME OF US WORK FOR THEM TOO...NOW LETS LEARN IT IN DETAILS....

You have learnt that we have two types of companies, on the basis of nationality, one is Indian company and the other is Foreign Company. But have you ever thought, why are foreign companies coming to India or what are they doing in our country? Actually they are coming to India to produce goods and services and/or to sell their products. Similarly Indian companies are also extending their business operations across the boundaries of our country. This is called globalization, which means extension of economic activities across the boundaries of a country in search of worldwide markets. In your day-to-day life you might be using different goods and services of Indian as well as foreign origin. The foreign goods
Are either imported in our country or sometimes these goods are also produced in our country.
Due to globalization the entire world has become one big market. Big companies are coming out of their home countries in search of better markets for their products. In the next section you will find details about these big companies.

Meaning of Multinational Companies

Simply speaking, a multi-national company is one which is registered as a company in one country but carries on business in a number of other countries by setting up factories, branches or subsidiary units. Such a company may produce goods or arrange services in one or more countries and sell these in the same or other countries. You might have heard about many Multinational Companies (MNCs) running business in India, like Philips, Siemens, Hyundai, Coca Cola, Nestle, Sony, McDonald’s, Citi Bank, Good Year, etc.

Features of Multinational Companies

(i) International Operations: Multinational Companies generally have production, marketing and other facilities in several countries.

(ii) Large size: The volume of sales, the profits earned, and also the value of assets held by a multinational companies are generally very large.

(iii) Centralized Control: The branches and subsidiary units of an MNC operating in different countries are controlled from the headquarters of the company in the home country, which lay down broad policies to be pursued.

Advantages of Multinational Companies

The Multinational Companies enjoy several advantages by way of huge earnings due to large-scale production and distribution activities across national borders. Besides, the host countries in which the Multinational Companies operate also derive a number of advantages.

These are-

(i) Investment of Foreign capital: Direct investment of capital by multinational companies helps under-developed countries to speed up their economic development.
(ii) Generation of employment: Expansion of industrial and trading activities by multinational companies leads to creation of employment opportunities and raising the standard of living in host countries.

(iii) Use of advanced technology: With substantial resources multinational companies undertake Research and Development activities which contribute to improved methods and processes of production and thus, increase the quality of products. Gradually, other countries also acquire these technologies.

(iv) Growth of ancillary units: Suppliers of materials and services and ancillary industries often grow in host countries as a result of the operation of multinational companies.

(v) Increase in exports and inflow of foreign exchange: Goods produced in the host countries are sometimes exported by multinational companies. Foreign exchange thus earned contributes to the foreign exchange reserves of host countries.

(vi) Healthy competition: Efficient production of quality goods by multinational companies prompt the domestic producers to improve their performance in order to survive in the market.

Limitations of Multinational Companies

The advantages discussed above are no doubt beneficial to host countries. But there are several limitations of multinational companies, which we should take note of:

i. Least concern for priorities of host countries: Multinational Companies generally invest capital in the most profitable industries and do not take into account the priorities of developing basic industries and services in backward regions of the host country.

ii. Adverse effect on domestic enterprises: Due to large-scale operation and technological skills, multinational companies are often able to dominate the markets in host countries and tend to acquire monopoly power. Thus, many local enterprises are compelled to close down.

iii. Change in tradition: Consumer goods, which are introduced by multinational companies in the host countries, do not generally conform to the local cultural norms. Thus, consumption habits of people as regards food and dress tend to change away from their own cultural heritage.

#Nepal earthquake death toll crosses 4,000; fresh tremors in Bengal, Bihar....

SOURCE:-// = HINDUSTAN TIMES

- MILLIONS HIT BY NATURE, TWEETS BY BILLIONS.......

The devastating 7.9-magnitude earthquake that hit Nepal and surrounding regions on Saturday has killed more than 4,000 people and devastated parts of the country, even as a  fresh aftershock hit nearby regions in India.

The US Geological Survey said the earthquake was centred  in West Bengal and had a magnitude of 5.1, less severe than Saturday's 7.9 quake in Nepal that has been followed by dozens of aftershocks. The tremors were felt in many parts of West Bengal and Bihar.

Nepal police said 3,904 deaths were counted in  the country alone and 7180 people were injured. The quake also destroyed buildings and ancient monuments and ripped apart roads, power lines and other infrastructure.

The aftershocks and rumours about another big quake forced thousands of desperate Nepalese in Kathmandu and other parts of the country to spend the nights in open spaces and under tents as overwhelmed authorities struggled to tackle the devastating situation.

In India, the death toll climbed to 72 with 56 deaths reported in Bihar, 12 in UP, three in West Bengal and one in Rajasthan.
Extent of damage

The extent of damage as well as the death toll depend on the state of remote Himalayan villages that rescue workers were still trying to reach. Many of the roads are believed to be cut off by landslides, making it likely that some of these communities can only be reached by helicopter.

The earthquake hit the capital, Kathmandu, but its impact spread far beyond.

At least 18 people died on the slopes of Mount Everest, where avalanches buried part of the base camp packed with foreign climbers. China reported 25 people dead in Tibet.

Nearly 100 aftershocks, including a magnitude-6.7 temblor on Sunday, have hindered rescue efforts and terrorised residents sleeping in open squares and parks.

Kathmandu is full of small, poorly constructed brick apartment buildings, and the quake destroyed swaths of the oldest neighbourhoods, even as more modern structures stood firm. Most areas were without power and water.

Among the capital's landmarks destroyed in the earthquake was the 60-metre (200-foot) Dharahara Tower, built in 1832 for the queen of Nepal.

The quake was the worst to hit Nepal in at least 80 years. Nepal's worst recorded earthquake in 1934 measured 8.0 and all but destroyed the cities of Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan.

'Monstrous sound'

High in the Himalayas, hundreds of foreign and Nepalese climbers remained trapped after a huge avalanche ripped through a base camp for climbers, killing 17 people in the worst single disaster to hit Mount Everest.

Climbers felt tremors on Sunday powerful enough to send snow and boulders cascading towards them. Another was felt early on Monday.

The huge and deadly avalanche on Saturday triggered by the earthquake caused panic at the Everest base camp, a sprawling "city" of tents from where mountaineers set off for the world's highest peak.

"It was a monstrous sound, like the demons had descended on the mountain," Khile Sherpa, a Nepalese guide, told Reuters, recalling the moment the avalanche hit.

He was one of the lucky few airlifted to the relative safety of Kathmandu, but the disaster has underlined the woeful state of Nepal's medical facilities.

Nepal has only 2.1 physicians and 50 hospital beds for every 10,000 people, according to a 2011 World Health Organization report.

1 million children affected

Almost one million children urgently need help after an earthquake claimed more than 3,200 lives in Nepal, the UN children's agency said, as relief workers raced to help the most vulnerable.

With thousands of children camping out in the open in the capital Kathmandu after their homes were destroyed in Saturday's quake, Unicef warned of the risk of disease.

"At least 940,000 children living in areas severely affected by (the) earthquake in Nepal are in urgent need of humanitarian assistance," it said in a statement.

"Limited access to safe water and sanitation will put children at great risk from waterborne diseases, while some children may have become separated from their families."

Unicef said it was mobilising staff and sending two cargo flights with 120 tonnes of humanitarian supplies, including medical and hospital supplies, tents and blankets.

Aid efforts

The first aid flights began delivering supplies on Sunday after Kathmandu's airport reopened. Tents and water were being handed out on Monday at 10 locations in Kathmandu, according to district chief administrator Ek Narayan Aryal.

The United Nations said hospitals in the Kathmandu Valley were overcrowded and running out of emergency supplies and space to store corpses.

Most shops in the capital were closed after the government declared a weeklong period of recovery. Only fruit vendors and pharmacies seemed to be doing business.

The first nations to respond were Nepal's neighbours - India, China and Pakistan. The United States, Canada, the United Arab Emirates, Britain, Germany, France, Poland, Italy, Israel and Singapore also sent aid.

India's helping hand

India initiated Operation Maitri, one of the largest relief efforts mounted by the country on foreign soil, with a focus on deploying medical and engineering teams and opening up road links to speed up the evacuation of hundreds of stranded Indian nationals.

A total of 13 heavy lift aircraft, including the C130J Hercules, Il-76 and C-17 Globemaster, several helicopters and hundreds of personnel from the military and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) are engaged in Operation Maitri.

With hundreds of Indian nationals stranded in Nepal, officials are focusing on opening up damaged roads so that they can be evacuated in buses because the number of flights from Kathmandu airport is limited.

Till Monday morning, the Indian Air Force had airlifted 1,935 people in 12 sorties despite bad weather and an aftershock that briefly shut the Kathmandu airport on Sunday. However, many more Indian tourists and pilgrims are still stranded in the Nepalese capital and other cities.

Plans have been drawn up to evacuate people in 35 buses once roads linking Nepal to the Indian states of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar are repaired and opened.

Defence ministry spokesperson Sitanshu Kar said 6 medical teams, engineering task force components, blankets, tents and other relief materials will be flown to Nepal by the air force on Monday.

India has already provided 10 tonnes of blankets, 50 tonnes of water and 22 tonnes of food donated by states and voluntary agencies.

The Indian Army has already sent 10 Inmarsat systems for satellite communications to Nepal.

Avalanche on Mount Everest

The quake unleashed a devastating avalanche on Mount Everest, killing at least 18 people and injuring dozens. Some warned that dozens of people may still be missing and were almost certainly dead.

The first group of survivors from the avalanche were flown to Kathmandu on Sunday and taken to hospitals. None appeared to have life-threatening injuries.

The avalanche struck near one of the famed mountain's most dangerous spots. It swept down between the Khumbu Icefall and the base camp used by international climbing expeditions.

There were unverified reports of avalanches on other parts of the mountain.

Facebook postings by climbers suggested that some people may have been buried in their tents when the avalanche hit. Climbers and their support teams were leaving the base camp Saturday looking for safer locations.

Reasons behind the temblor

US Geological Survey seismologist Paul Earle said the quake happened on what is known as a "thrust fault." That describes the situation when one piece of the Earth's crust is moving beneath another piece.

In this case, it's the Indian plate that is moving north at 45 millimeters (1.7 inches) a year under the Eurasian plate to the north, Earle said. It's a different type of earthquake than the one that caused the 1906 San Francisco earthquake.

"This is what builds the Himalayan mountain range," Earle said.

The region and particular fault has a history of damaging earthquakes, including four temblors with magnitudes greater than 6.0 in the past 100 years, Earle said, warning that landslides are a particular worry now, given the steep slopes in the region.

Can Nepal recover?

Nepal is a relatively poor country without extensive resources despites its rich cultural heritage and spectacular mountain scenery. It has been plagued by instability in recent years, and general strikes have recently brought chaotic scenes to Kathmandu.

Nepal's constitution was supposed to have been written by the Constituent Assembly that was elected in 2008, following the end of a 10-year Maoist insurgency and the overthrow of the centuries-old monarchy, but the assembly was hampered by infighting and never finished its work.

The current assembly was chosen in 2013, but has faced the same problem.

Rajiv Biswas, Asia Pacific chief economist at business research firm IHS, said long-term reconstruction costs in Nepal using proper building standards for an earthquake zone could be more than $5 billion, or around 20% of the country's GDP.

"With housing construction standards in Nepal being extremely low ... the impact of the earthquake has been devastating based on initial reports," he said in an early analysis of the likely damage.

# Has Anyone Seen Disney's Up ???, Must be seen, But never heard of the Story behind........

Before Carl and Russell took their adventures into the wilds of Venezuela, the iconic cottage house in Disney and Pixar’s Up was still on the ground, in the midst of encroaching high-rise construction.
In Seattle, the story of this house had a very similar plot.

Meet Edith Macefield.
Her 108-year-old farmhouse in the Seattle neighborhood of Ballard was in the middle of an area undergoing lots of commercial development.

Before moving to this little house in Washington state, Edith had an interesting life. Born in Oregon in 1921, Edith lied about her age in order to join the service and support the war effort in England. Even when others discovered that she wasn’t 18, Edith stayed overseas to care for orphans until her mother became ill and she returned to the States. Her only child, a son, died of meningitis at 13.
Edith’s goal was to stay in her own home as long as possible.
“My mother died here,” she said, “on this very couch. I came back to America from England to take care of her. She made me promise I would let her die at home and not in some facility, and I kept that promise. And this is where I want to die. Right in my own home. On this couch.”
In 2006 she was offered $1,000,000 for her property.

She turned it down.
Her refusal to sell made her a local folk hero and brought her national attention. “I don’t want to move. I don’t need the money. Money doesn’t mean anything,” Macefield told the Seattle P-I.
When construction of the neighboring high-rise brought cranes over her house, she turned up the television.
“I went through World War II,” she said. “The noise doesn’t bother me. They’ll get it done someday.”

Enter Barry Martin, construction chief of the project around Edith’s house.
After working close by and hearing of her story, the two struck up a friendship.
When Edith became increasingly ill with pancreatic cancer, it was Barry who took care of her.
For two years he drove her to appointments, nursed her, cleaned her, fed her, and listened to her stories about escaping from Nazis and being a spy for the Allies.
Edith died in 2008, at the age of 86, in her house just like she wanted. When Edith passed away at the age of 87, everyone discovered that she had done something completely unexpected: she had willed her home to Barry.
Inspired by their friendship and the experience, Barry wrote a book about everything he had learned from Edith.
In addition to being the suspected inspiration for UP, Edith’s legacy has reached far and wide.
The first annual Macefield Music Festival was held in 2013, dedicated to preserving Edith’s fiercely independent spirit. A local tattoo artist created a design in honor of Edith and her house and the importance of “holding on to things that are important to you.”
In 2008, the house was sold for $310,000. The structure will be slightly expanded, but left largely intact and used for real estate training and as a community center.
As much as she loved her home, at the end of her life, Edith was realistic about the realities of change and the long-term future of the space.
“She said that it didn’t really matter,” Martin told NPR, “because 20 years from now, she said, this building that they’re building around me, they’re going to tear it down and build a new one.”
Thanks, Edith.

SO THIS IS THE REAL INSPIRATION, TODAY THE HOUSE IS MANAGED BY BARRY, AND THERE WERE SEVERAL CONSPIRACIES TO TAKE DOWN THE HOUSE BUT THE PUBLIC NAMED IT AS "THE UP HOUSE"

SO TRUE THE LIFE CAN BE, AND THE DISNEY MOVIES JUST GIVE CONFIDENCE TO THEM......

#A Short Essay By Apurva Chandarana.....

It may be late, but a try towards Literature.....

Hello friends!!
During the first pre boards in our English 1 (grammar) Examination I was asked to write a report on a book I had read recently read,  and to choose a character I liked from the book. This was exact essay I had written. It may have some errors but please read it and suggest upon it. It will help me improve…...

I agree with the age old saying that books are a man’s best friend but moreover I feel that books are influential teachers. As, what a person reads may strike a chord in his heart and he is more likely to imitate the same in his life. An author’s pen has more influence on the society than a knight’s sword. An author’s pen has the ability to change the text on social fabric if used wisely.
The last book I read was before the Diwali break. It was ‘Half Girlfriend’ by Chetan Bhagat. Actually I had been eagerly waiting to read the book ever since it was announced. And my excitation to read the book was redoubled by the fact that it was my first ever online purchase. Yes , I am proud to say that I was a part of ‘The Big Billion Day’ on Flipkart.

So here it goes it is a typical ‘C. Bhagat’s’ type book. I call it so, as almost all his books talk about the college going generation of India. The book talks about a young Bihari boy, Madhav, a great Basketball player, however lacks in his English. Although he belongs to the royal bloodline there is little left for him. After his father’s death their wealth kept on diminishing, and now he lived with his mother who ran a small school in their village.

Madhav after completing his school decides to go to Delhi for higher education. He gets admission in the Delhi University through sports quota because of his basketball abilities.
On the day of his admission itself he meets Ria. Ria belonged to a rich family in Delhi. She was an introvert person who did not share any of her feelings with anyone. But she had not been the same earlier. She changed only after an incident in the past. About which we come to know later.
After their first meeting the book is like any other love story which gives an account of the obstacles which the lovers go through before reaching the destined stage.

My favorite character from the story without doubt is Madhav. Although he cannot be referred as a complete positive character as he has many flaws in his character. In the beginning it seems as if his love for Ria is born out of certain different means. But at last he proves his love by flying to America with a faint hope of getting Ria. By not describing Madhav as a complete flawless character the author has made him such that all readers can connect with him.

The book has been written in simple language so that it has a wide range of readers and one enjoys reading it. It has its own funny moments which bind the reader and make the character reverberate in our hearts forever.
Thank you.

#the letter Bill Gates sent to Microsoft employees for the company's 40th anniversary....

Every Child born, on this Planet once in his first 10 years of his life comes across the word MICROSOFT. its a company dealing with Technology and Various services that probably impossible, their motto is Consumer Satisfaction and their Ideas through which the world can Be changed.......

April 4th, 2014 was the day on which Sir Gates, along with Sir Allen and Sir Ballmer started the company namely Microsoft..

in 2015, on the 40th Anniversary of the Company Gates wrote to all his employees this letter.....

Tomorrow is a special day: Microsoft's 40th anniversary.

Early on, Paul Allen and I set the goal of a computer on every desk and in every home. It was a bold idea and a lot of people thought we were out of our minds to imagine it was possible. It is amazing to think about how far computing has come since then, and we can all be proud of the role Microsoft played in that revolution.

Today though, I am thinking much more about Microsoft's future than its past. I believe computing will evolve faster in the next 10 years than it ever has before. We already live in a multi-platform world, and computing will become even more pervasive. We are nearing the point where computers and robots will be able to see, move, and interact naturally, unlocking many new applications and empowering people even more.

Under Satya's leadership, Microsoft is better positioned than ever to lead these advances. We have the resources to drive and solve tough problems. We are engaged in every facet of modern computing and have the deepest commitment to research in the industry. In my role as technical advisor to Satya, I get to join product reviews and am impressed by the vision and talent I see. The result is evident in products like Cortana, Skype Translator, and HoloLens -- and those are just a few of the many innovations that are on the way.

In the coming years, Microsoft has the opportunity to reach even more people and organizations around the world. Technology is still out of reach for many people, because it is complex or expensive, or they simply do not have access. So I hope you will think about what you can do to make the power of technology accessible to everyone, to connect people to each other, and make personal computing available everywhere even as the very notion of what a PC delivers makes its way into all devices.

We have accomplished a lot together during our first 40 years and empowered countless businesses and people to realize their full potential. But what matters most now is what we do next. Thank you for helping make Microsoft a fantastic company now and for decades to come.

Bill Gates.

This is why i trust Microsoft, it is the motivation, Sir Gates is the only person from whom I can get motivated....

#Temple Unfounded !

I was just surfing the internet i got to see an article, which was about a thousand year old TEMPLE. As it was my last day of school in Rajkot, I had just arrived to home from school after seeking everyone's blessings and bidding farewell to them.

The article was about THE TEMPLE UNFOUNDED, IT WAS A blog.

here is the Article which I saw AND found it Awesome.....

Ankor Wat - Temple Unfounded

Angkor Wat was first a Hindu, later a Buddhist, temple complex in Cambodia and the largest religious monument in the world. The temple was built by the Khmer King Suryavarman II in the early 12th century in Yaśodharapura, the capital of the Khmer Empire, as his state temple and eventual mausoleum. Breaking from the Shaiva tradition of previous kings, Angkor Wat was instead dedicated to Vishnu. As the best-preserved temple at the site, it is the only one to have remained a significant religious center since its foundation. The temple is at the top of the high classical style of Khmer architecture. It has become a symbol of Cambodia, appearing on its national flag, and it is the country's prime attraction for visitors.

The modern name, Angkor Wat, means "Temple City" or "City of Temples" in Khmer; Angkor, meaning "city" or "capital city", is a vernacular form of the word nokor , which comes from the Sanskrit word nagar
(नगर)…….

The temple was founded by Henry Muohot, he was on a trail with a diver in Combodian forests,  to find the species of the butterfly.....

when the fuel of the Jeep was null, he took a decision of moving further without anyone ...
the jungles were dark, evergrees, lustful ( which makes you love nature) with the sounds of chirps, klirks, trumpets of the Reciders of the Jungle- The Animals.....

Accidently, he saw a blue winged, Crystal designed wings Butterfly, he ran behind it and was lost in the forests. Moving forward with a butterfly net and some water, he saw a huge structure, magnificiently brought up and still unhurled( moved or devasted). This was The ANKOR WAT. he was fascinated by it, and started sketching the buildings and all the idols. There are about 14000 mini structures of gods and goddesses, along with a large Lord Vishnu idol.....

the temple resembled hindu gods and goddesses. the structure of city was as a size of Manhatten. the drainage pattern was advanced and buildings were built like a magnifico.

He Said about the Temple that,

"At Ongcor, there are ...ruins of such grandeur... that, at the first view, one is filled with profound admiration, and cannot but ask what has become of this powerful race, so civilized, so enlightened, the authors of these gigantic works?"

Today, The temple is open for visitors and people around the globe. It is the Unesco's world heritage site in Combodia.......

#Ramesh Babu, The barber Who owns A Rolls Royce !!!!!

Source :- YourStory.com

Leonard Willoughby said, “As you begin to live according to your own guidance and your own daring everything changes completely.” Ramesh Babu, the barber who became a millionaire, did exactly this when he was shaping his dazzling destiny. Stories of personal perseverance, the ones where heroes overcome severe obstacles and achieve dizzying heights of success, have been around since the beginning of time but they never get old. They inspire us and inflame our passions, making us believe we too can follow suit. Ramesh Babu bought a Maruti Van with his meagre savings in 1994. By 2004, he had a fledgling car rental business with seven regular cars. In 2014 he has a fleet of 200 cars. What is even more extraordinary is the 75 luxury cars on the fleet- a range of Mercedes, BMW’s, Audi’s, five and ten seater luxury vans and, his ultimate pride, a Rolls Royce.

Much of Ramesh Babu’s early life was spent in a struggle for survival. Now, ensconced in the lap of success, he remains true to the vocation of his heart- a barber. Babu took up to sniping locks in high school, a profession he inherited from his father, to keep his family afloat. It is one that, even now, he does with great aplomb. He charges only hundred rupees for his services. He has been featured in television channels and newspapers all over the country. His phenomenal success coupled with his disarming humility has earned him the moniker, ‘Millionaire Barber’. It is the title he used while giving a TED talk earlier this year. This has made him something of an urban legend. Here Ramesh Babu, the Millionaire Barber, shares his utterly inspiring story.

Difficult Beginnings:

I was born in a poor family. My father was a barber. He passed away in 1979, when I was just seven years old. My mother started working as a maid servant to make ends meet. My father had left behind a saloon business on Brigade road which my uncle took to running. He would give us five rupees a day from that. Five rupees, even in those days a pittance, was too less to see to me and my brother and sister’s physical and educational needs. We took to having one meal a day just so we could survive. From when I was in middle school, I took up various odd jobs to make a little extra cash. I would deliver newspapers and milk bottles and whatever else was convenient to ease my mother’s load a bit. This way I somehow managed to finish my tenth standard and joined evening PUC.

Breaking Point

Sometime in the nineties, when I was in my first PU, my mother had a bitter fight with my uncle. He had simply stopped paying us any money. I told her I should take over the saloon and run it myself. She was adamant that I prioritise my education, but I started working at the saloon too and learning the ropes of the business. In the mornings, I would be at the saloon and evenings at college. Then again at night I would return to the saloon, which would remain open till 1 in the morning. Since then I have been called a barber.

Breakthrough Idea

Later in 1993, I bought a used Maruti van. My uncle had bought a small car and petty pride made me buy one too. I pooled my tiny savings, took a loan and felt grim satisfaction at having bought a marginally grander vehicle than him. My grandfather had to mortgage his property to enable the loan. The loan interest was six thousand and eight hundred rupees and I was reeling from having to make the payments.

The lady whose house my mother used to work, Nandini akka as I like to call her, asked me why I don’t rent out the car instead of it just lying around. She taught me the basics of doing this kind of business. She became like a sister to me and remains a big part of my life even today. She called me to her daughter’s wedding and showed me off!

Building a successful business:

From 1994 onward I seriously got into the car rental business. The first company I rented it out to was Intel because that’s where Nandini akka was working and she helped arrange it. Gradually, I started adding more cars to the fleet. Till 2004, I only had about five to six cars. I was focused on getting the saloon business off the ground, so this was not my priority. The business was not doing well as the competition at this level was intense. Everyone had small cars. I thought of getting into luxury cars because that is something that no one else was doing.

On Taking Risks:

When I was buying my first luxury car, in 2004, everyone told me that I was making a big mistake. Forty lakhs in 2004 for a car, even a luxury car, was a very big deal. I was extremely apprehensive, but simply had to take the chance. I told myself that I would sell off the car if worse came to worst. Fortunately for me, the risk paid off remarkably. No other car rental service had luxury cars of this stature. There were ones who had purchased second hand models and the conditions of those cars were far from pristine. I was the first person in Bangalore to invest in a brand new luxury car and it did very well.

If you want to do business, you must be willing to take risks. When I bought my Rolls Royce in 2011, people warned me about the scope of failures against buying such a tremendously expensive car. I told myself that I had taken a risk in 2004, why can’t I take one again almost a decade later? It cost me almost four crore rupees, to buy the car. But once again, it was a risk that paid off. It’s been three years since, and it’s has proven to be tremendously popular. In December this year, the EMI payments will be over.

Biggest Challenges:

Every business will face challenges and pitfalls. Last April, I had to pay over three crores in road taxes alone. I still don’t know how I managed to pull the amount together. I borrowed from so many people and put up property documents to get the cash. Every business will have recurring formidable challenges. The idea is to embrace them wholeheartedly and tackle them vehemently. I had been in the red for a while with the road tax, but in another year or so we will be free of that.

Ideas for the Future:

Earlier we used to pay taxes quarterly. As of now, I have had to put a hold on the plans for expansion because the taxes have become sky high. In 2015 we are going to buy some stretch limousines and other such vehicles.
Message to Aspiring Entrepreneurs:

Ramesh Babu reiterated the simple message to entrepreneurs that he told students to follow in his TED talk.

#How to Become a Millionaire by Age 30

#Source :- Entrepreneur

Getting rich and becoming a millionaire is a taboo topic. Saying it can be done by the age of 30 seems like a fantasy.

It shouldn’t be taboo and it is possible. At the age of 21, I got out of college, broke and in debt, and by the time I was 30, I was a millionaire.

Here are the 10 steps that will guarantee you will become a millionaire by 30.

1. Follow the money. In today’s economic environment you cannot save your way to millionaire status. The first step is to focus on increasing your income in increments and repeating that. My income was $3,000 a month and nine years later it was $20,000 a month. Start following the money and it will force you to control revenue and see opportunities.

2. Don’t show off -- show up! I didn’t buy my first luxury watch or car until my businesses and investments were producing multiple secure flows of income. I was still driving a Toyota Camry when I had become a millionaire. Be known for your work ethic, not the trinkets that you buy.

3. Save to invest, don’t save to save. The only reason to save money is to invest it.  Put your saved money into secured, sacred (untouchable) accounts. Never use these accounts for anything, not even an emergency. This will force you to continue to follow step one (increase income). To this day, at least twice a year, I am broke because I always invest my surpluses into ventures I cannot access.

4. Avoid debt that doesn’t pay you. Make it a rule that you never use debt that won’t make you money. I borrowed money for a car only because I knew it could increase my income. Rich people use debt to leverage investments and grow cash flows. Poor people use debt to buy things that make rich people richer.

5. Treat money like a jealous lover. Millions wish for financial freedom, but only those that make it a priority have millions. To get rich and stay rich you will have to make it a priority. Money is like a jealous lover. Ignore it and it will ignore you, or worse, it will leave you for someone who makes it a priority.

6. Money doesn’t sleep. Money doesn’t know about clocks, schedules or holidays, and you shouldn’t either. Money loves people that have a great work ethic. When I was 26 years old, I was in retail and the store I worked at closed at 7 p.m. Most times you could find me there at 11 p.m. making an extra sale. Never try to be the smartest or luckiest person -- just make sure you outwork everyone.

7. Poor makes no sense. I have been poor, and it sucks. I have had just enough and that sucks almost as bad. Eliminate any and all ideas that being poor is somehow OK. Bill Gates has said, "If you’re born poor, it’s not your mistake. But if you die poor, it is your mistake."

8. Get a millionaire mentor. Most of us were brought up middle class or poor and then hold ourselves to the limits and ideas of that group. I have been studying millionaires to duplicate what they did. Get your own personal millionaire mentor and study them. Most rich people are extremely generous with their knowledge and their resources.

9. Get your money to do the heavy lifting. Investing is the Holy Grail in becoming a millionaire and you should make more money off your investments than your work. If you don’t have surplus money you won’t make investments. The second company I started required a $50,000 investment. That company has paid me back that $50,000 every month for the last 10 years. My third investment was in real estate, where I started with $350,000, a large part of my net worth at the time. I still own that property today and it continues to provide me with income. Investing is the only reason to do the other steps, and your money must work for you and do your heavy lifting.

10. Shoot for $10 million, not $1 million. The single biggest financial mistake I’ve made was not thinking big enough. I encourage you to go for more than a million. There is no shortage of money on this planet, only a shortage of people thinking big enough.

Apply these 10 steps and they will make you rich. Steer clear of people that suggest your financial dreams are born of greed. Avoid get-rich-quick schemes, be ethical, never give up, and once you make it, be willing to help others get there too.

# BILL GATES PREDICTED THE TECH WE USE TODAY IN 1999........

In 1999, Google was just months old. So was pets.com, which was also a year away from going defunct as a result of the dot-com bubble bust. People still booked travel arrangements over the phone, and they connected to the internet using dial-up modems.

That same year, Microsoft founder Bill Gates wrote Business @ the Speed of Thought, a book that, from the vantage point of 2015, offered astonishingly accurate predictions about the way the internet would change business.

In a new post on his blog,  Markus Kirjonen, a business student at Aalto University in Finland, listed some of Gates's most impressive forecasts. Here are a few:

Automated price comparison services will be developed, allowing people to see prices across multiple websites, making it effortless to find the cheapest product for all industries.
People will carry around small devices that allow them to constantly stay in touch and do electronic business from wherever they are. They will be able to check the news, see flights they have booked, get information from financial markets, and do just about anything else on these devices.
Constant video feeds of your house will become common, informing you of when somebody visits while you are not home.
Private websites for your friends and family will be common, allowing you to chat and plan for events.
Devices will have smart advertising. They will know your purchasing trends, and will display advertisements that are tailored toward your preferences.
Gates compared the commercialization of the internet to the introduction of electricity. When electricity was first brought into the home, it was intended to power light bulbs, Gates said.

But before long, others saw new opportunities to utilize the infrastructure, which paved the way for the invention of refrigerators, air conditioners, and televisions. Gates saw the internet as similarly fertile ground.

The book also highlights many internet uses that have yet to be realized--a.k.a., big business opportunities for today's startups. So what areas of business haven't yet been developed to their full potential, according to pre-Y2K Gates?

He identified four major categories that are critical for optimizing business: planning, customer service, training, and teamwork. Kirjonen argues that Slack, creator of a communication platform, is the dominant startup in the "teamwork" category.

But he says that the other three areas are missing major players. In other words, that's where new startups might want to consider concentrating their focus.

SO NOW WE CAN CONCLUDE THAT MICROSOFT IS #1 TODAY, BECAUSE OF FUTURE SIGHT AND EFFORTS BY SIR GATES.

HE IS THE ONE WHO PREDICTED TO WORK ON,IN AROUND, THROUGH THE INTERNET AND HIS PREDICTIONS ARE JUST ACCURATE TO 110%......

#NET NEUTRALITY

What is It ??

Net Neutrality or Internet Neutrality  is the principle that Internet service providers and governments should treat all data on the Internet equally, not discriminating or charging differently by user, content, site, platform, application, type of attached equipment, or mode of communication. The term was coined by Columbia University media law professor Tim Wu in 2003.

In simple words

it is discrimination on the charges on the megabytes{MB} used.

IT IS
– All sites must be equally accessible
- The same access speed at the TELCO/ISP level for each (independent of TELCO selection)
– The same data cost for access to each site (per KB/MB).

This means, Net Neutrality is about:
– No telecom-style licensing of Internet companies (see this and this)
– No gateways (Internet.org, Airtel OneTouch Internet, Data VAS), censorship or selection;
– No speeding up of specific websites (that may or may not pay telcos)
– No “zero rating” or making some sites free over others (and that goes for you too, Wikipedia and twitter).

Vote For it and Send Your Grievances about it on

This Poem is based upon the soldiers who fought Battle Of Minden.....

"The Men That Fought at Minden"

The men that fought at Minden, they was rookies in their time --
So was them that fought at Waterloo!
All the 'ole command, yuss, from Minden to Maiwand,
They was once dam' sweeps like you!
Then do not be discouraged, 'Eaven is your 'elper,
 We'll learn you not to forget;
An' you mustn't swear an' curse, or you'll only catch it worse,
For we'll make you soldiers yet!
The men that fought at Minden, they 'ad stocks beneath their chins,
 Six inch 'igh an' more;
But fatigue it was their pride, and they would not be denied
 To clean the cook-'ouse floor.
The men that fought at Minden, they had anarchistic bombs
 Served to 'em by name of 'and-grenades;
But they got it in the eye (same as you will by-an'-by)
 When they clubbed their field-parades.
The men that fought at Minden, they 'ad buttons up an' down,
 Two-an'-twenty dozen of 'em told;
But they didn't grouse an' shirk at an hour's extry work,
They kept 'em bright as gold.
The men that fought at Minden, they was armed with musketoons,
 Also, they was drilled by 'alberdiers;
I don't know what they were, but the sergeants took good care
 They washed be'ind their ears.
The men that fought at Minden, they 'ad ever cash in 'and
Which they did not bank nor save,
But spent it gay an' free on their betters -- such as me --
For the good advice I gave.
The men that fought at Minden, they was civil -- yuss, they was --
Never didn't talk o' rights an' wrongs,
But they got it with the toe (same as you will get it -- so!) --
 For interrupting songs.
The men that fought at Minden, they was several other things
 Which I don't remember clear;
But that's the reason why, now the six-year men are dry,
The rooks will stand the beer!
Then do not be discouraged, 'Eaven is your 'elper,
 We'll learn you not to forget;
An' you mustn't swear an' curse, or you'll only catch it worse,
For we'll make you soldiers yet!
Soldiers yet, if you've got it in you --
 All for the sake of the Core;
Soldiers yet, if we 'ave to skin you --
Run an' get the beer, Johnny Raw -- Johnny Raw!
Ho! run an' get the beer, Johnny Raw!

A story Written By me......

I am not a Pro Writer, But this is A field Given A try.......

Fight For World

Colonel Martinez, we have run 2 km and are ready for training, sir can we start our training for battles? Go for it luitenants!
We started our training with shooting and had a great throw of bullets on bull’s eye we specially trained for great targets we thought of we were a kind of special commandos. As we moved towards our quarters we show news channels booom! There were some kind of machines who wanted our earth, we started to march towards them and saw their forces. They were fully armed and were ready for the battle. We p16 and m145 pistols with 250 rounds and were at our head quarters for making troops as they were in different areas. I lieutenant Rogdriguez and we had with us one of best American warrior in our troop Sergeant Diaz and our leader was colonel Martinez and we were very frightened about the war but we had our families with us and lt.Rider had his engagement just before 6 days was very mourned that his wife was dead because of alien machine troops. He wanted to kill all of them and as we sat in black hawk helicopter colonel Martinez gave me note written to his wife and children and said me that ‘if you find them alive please give it to them if I am dead’ ok ! I said colonel but he stopped me from saying anything and said it was an order. I kept respect of sir promised them that I would give it.
We all slid out of helicopter and were duck at that time and started marching towards the nearby police station because we had got message that some civilians had been stuck there after the destruction. a hawk was waiting for us and civilians but it ha -d only space of 5 civilians and we thought of stopping it and let the 4 left, go with them but as it flew a missile came and band and hawk was blasted off in the air itself. We were frightened and ran towards the police station and at the south door we founded a robot lying on the ground we took it into room and tried to see how it dies we saw his heart was at our right and was killed only when a bullet goes into heart’s middle part we had got their miss point. We saw a Bentley showroom and thought of escaping from the machines in the car. Our HQ was about 12 kilometers and we saw a full barrel of petrol and we examined cars petrol tank and reached to the decision that the car will need petrol at 6 km so we took additional 18 liters of petrol and started our engine ran towards the HQ .all had maps in the car’s GPRS and at highway we saw a flying machine firing bullets towards us we came out and blasted off the RPG and boooooooooooooooooom!!! the team of the defenders of enemy was defended we got message that all the troops are on the highway as we saw them we started firing and colonel Martinez was passed off to the heaven and by that we all were mourned I kept my promise .we lost 1 civilian by the bullet ,he tried to help us when we were going through rope to other bridge .we reached HQ and saw that the area had been destroyed we were only mankind left in that area and we took explosives and sat in the helicopter waiting for us but sergeant Diaz said that “ I am going for saving the world from aliens “ and he slid off the rope and Along with the explosives - TNT and Dynamites And Profuel Mines, Sergeant Diaz Gave a huge blow to them, but they gave fire to earth.....they missiled buildings.... we needed someone to talk.....

entered one of the kindest cadet.... Cadet Hughes.... he and Diaz went ahead searching for the answer, but the situation was negative, they could not find anything as it was a non Earthly vehicle....flying around like a todding bird...

Diaz got heard of some language....they were in a room next to the them
they entered....but could not understand the language...there were huge bodies may be 15ft. tall with armours of some alienated resource....they were in conversation, but as Diaz broke in. they freezed....

Diaz gave a call to them
" We havent came here for Fight, We want to know who are u and What are u here for ???"
they answered but could not understand, they showed some pictures in their high tech screen.
it was H2O, Water
he asked " Why Water ?"
they replied positive - they wanted for fuel..

we got to understand that they needed that as fuel in their machines....

Cadet hughes came on talk,
" please we request you to, go away to Neptune, the Watery planet, there you will get ample of water....
but please leave earth as, the water here is need for living."
" we are sorry for everything....."
he ended,

they replied Affirmative and we could see that all Machines headed towards Space.
Both came down, and depicted the story,of the happening....

the other cadets also came down and killing many and saved the world ,I gave that note on behalf of colonel Martinez to their family and everyone
this way,
A heart breaking and throbbing incident ended.Earth lived happily .at last we got it why the alien machines entered earth ,they entered because they wanted water as their fuel.

we Got to know about the Aliens, and yes they are not harmful....as Such....
And we got to search and explore more about other life organisms.....
