Internet.org is a Facebook-led initiative bringing together technology leaders, nonprofits and local communities to connect the two thirds of the world that doesn’t have internet access.

it is a type of an institution where several remote areas and backward areas of the world are trying to be connected through this initiative, for a purpose of learning new techniques, style, things and understanding the world economies, societies, personalities etc.

the main Reason why this initiative is led due to the following :-

WHY ARE NOT MANY PEOPLE CONNECTED TO INTERNET ?

• Devices are too expensive
• orthodox thinking
• services unavailable
• limited power supply in some regions
• the thinking of unwanted contain and other things that might Internet bring 

this is why people are not connected to internet

so to bring out a change, this is the thing.......

this will create 

1. 
   Affordability
   every men /women will be connected to internet through Internet.org, they would be able to afford the connection to the internet.
2. 
   Efficiency
   the  Internet.org will increase the efficiency of labour power and human abilities of the population. As the world will be getting to learn several things through it...this will increase thier knowledge and skills..... AND the this will increase the efficiency of internet to be provided more exclusively and publicly.
3. 
   Business Perspective
   due to subcription of more internet users, and dealings with service providers will create a large business throughout the world......

So this is  Internet.org

In India, it has been started along with joint venturship of Reliance Ind.
