Why Gujaratis love Navratri ???

Navaratri is a festival dedicated to the worship of the Hindu deity Durga. The word Navaratri means 'nine nights' in Sanskrit, nava meaning nine and ratri meaning nights. During these nine nights and ten days, nine forms of Devi are worshipped. The tenth day is commonly referred to as Vijayadashami or "Dussehra" (also spelled Dashera). Navaratri is an important major festival and is celebrated all over India and Nepal. Diwali the festival of lights is celebrated twenty days after Dashera. Though there are total five types of Navaratri that come in a year, but Sharad Navaratri is the most popular one. Hence, the term Navaratri is being used for Sharada Navaratri here.

The Reasons Why Gujaratis Love Navratri !!!!!

1. The name itself gets our legs dancing. We don’t need any drinks to get high, Garba can get us high!

2. Not only our Gujarati friends, but even our non Gujarati friends and foreigners love to do Garba with us

3.The immensely gracious garments for both men and women, The people just love them to wear.......

4.Navratri is the only time when parents don’t deny to let their kids stay out till late nights
And the generation today we live in loves it !!!!!!! and sometimes it is too followed by parties and late night drives.......

5.  None of our festivals are complete without Garba.......
Whether it be diwali or Holi, None of people enjoy the festivals without garba.......
